Flipped Classroom

Hello everyone Firstly, I want to say that flipped classrooms are the evidence of the advantages that we get to experience through technology.   I like the fact that nowadays the lessons are not anymore teacher-centered like in the traditional model, but it is shifted to learner-centered. Students are getting more involved in the process of learning. Flipped classrooms give the students the opportunity to get knowledge outside the class. I’ve always been pro to teaching through discussions and  interactions between students and teachers.   Students through flipped classrooms are more active and they interact with each-other. They also give feedback. Of Couse I must mention that there are also some disadvantages like for example maybe not all students have the possibility to possess internet or laptop. So, we as future teachers should take in consideration even this aspect before deciding to use flipped classroom model. Technology nowadays is inevitable...

Constructivism

Hi everyone Last week lecture was about constructivism. Learning about the theory of Constructivism was very interesting. I totally agree with what the theory suggests that we as humans or even as students or teachers create our own understanding of knowledge and meanings through reflecting on our personal experiences.   Students play an important key in class. The lesson should involve also the students. I think that it’s a very positive aspect that this theory obliges in a way students to be active and to be involved in the process of leaning. We as future teachers should guide students and we should give them more responsibilities. We should not be the only one participating in the class. The lesson should not be teacher-oriented. But we should make it as an discussion. In this way students will be involved and they will be more interested or even more active during the process of learning. In conclusion, I totally agree with this theory but we should keep in m...

Feedback

Hello everyone!   I ‘am very excited about this subject. Using the blog is something new for me but I think we will all benefit from it. I personally think that it will help us interact with each other. We will improve our writing skills. We will have fun sharing opinions and reading interesting information’s . The last lecture we had was very interesting and informative. We discussed about the theory of multiple intelligences that was proposed by the psychologist Howard Gardner in 1983. What I found very interesting was the fact that according to Gardner we possess all the intelligences, but we are particularly strong in some of them.   I used to think like the traditional theory that we are born with a fixed amount of intelligences and that we don’t possess all of them and that we can’t improve them during our life. After reading about the theory of Gardner I couldn’t agree more with his theory. I found a very interesting video that explains all the mul...
